We’re tipping from autumn to winter here in London. I was in denial for the last few weeks, but the time finally came when cycling without gloves was no longer an option. I harrumph and moan about it, but then the excitement starts to build. After all, it is the season of open fires, mulled wine, baked apples, crunchy leaves and rosy cheeks.
But it’s also the time of year where my grooming can easily take a little dip - the lull between summer and festive party time where you think that no one will notice. It's the time of year that treating yourself to a pedicure, facial, etc feels like just that - a treat. It's not about maintaining standards for anyone else, but doing things that make you feel good. So I allowed myself to knock of work early on Friday and do just that.
Cowshed is my favourite place in London for a non-medical pedicure. I’m all for quickies at Asian nailbars to tide you over, but sometimes you just need to stop for an hour and let yourself be pampered. Sit in a comfy white leather armchair with magazines, Sex and the City and a cup of something nice whilst someone grooms and massages your feet is bliss. Each time I'm amazed, absolutely amazed, at how good my feet look. I end up staring at them like they're born again.
I'd love to hear from you in the comments below - will you be treating yourself to a pedicure? If so, where's the best place to go for a pedicure in your home town?
